The Captain

Captain Bob Brown has over 30 years of experience chartering guests aboard his boats. His training includes MEDA3 and SVOP from the
Ministry of Transport. It all started in 1971 during an extended vacation in Florida. He began commercial fishing the waters of the Gulf and
slowly progressed to his own charter company based out of Fort Myers, Florida. For the past twenty five years he has lived on Vancouver
Island and during the past eight years has spent his winters in Honduras chartering his boat for Marlin, Dorado, etc. and working with his two
sons in their family owned dive shops. Now semi-retired he makes his home on Vancouver Island. For those travelling from out of town he
also operates a Bed and Breakfast in the Cowichan Valley. An ideal base to work from, the B & B is only thirty five minutes from the Victoria
international airport.

What To Expect

Whether you are a seasoned angler of Vancouver Island or have never visited the Pacific North West, your day on the water will be an
incredible experience and one you will never forget. The ocean is alive with 5 types of salmon, tackle testing Tyees, back breaking halibut
and numerous varieties of ground fish. The ocean may be calm or possibly rough. If the captain makes the decision not to go on the outside
there are still numerous protected locations to fish. We fish a twenty-five mile radius from the town of Bamfield located on the west coast of
Vancouver Island.  We "follow the fish" so to speak and stay up to date on what's "hot" and what's "not".

Humpback and grey Whales frequent our waters, as do sea lion colonies, sea otters, seals, porpoises and killer whales. The bird life hosts
over 50 common varieties including eagles and hawks. The topography of Vancouver Island is ocean, fog, sunshine, clear water and
beautiful mountains.
